Matt Bunn & John Downes
Co-CEOs
Form1 was founded by Matt Bunn and John Downes, who bring a wealth of experience partnering world-leading corporates with scale-up technology innovators. With extensive experience in negotiating and closing sales, they’ve delivered over £2.8 billion in enterprise business and led M&A, joint ventures, and corporate finance activities. They have served as directors on the boards of a dozen tech scale-ups, with 15+ successful fundraises and two exits. Their experience spans multiple sectors, both public and private, and they maintain a strong network in innovation and venture capital.
Alice Bardrick
Director of Operations
Alice brings extensive operational expertise and entrepreneurial spirit. She began her career at Accenture, where she trained in sales strategy and transformation, before joining a leading innovation consultancy. Here, Alice specialised in technology commercialisation and launched and scaled new business ventures for the likes of Barclays and Philips. Alice then transitioned to the charity sector, holding various growth roles, including working across Africa to drive SME revenue. Most recently, as Head of Innovation at the British Red Cross, Alice spearheaded the development of social enterprises.
Sophie Miller
Director of Growth & Innovation
Sophie is a born super connector. She thrives in fast-paced environments, identifying synergies and quickly connecting the dots. With over 10 years’ experience at Learning Technologies Group, one of the fastest growing Learning & Talent organisations, she has played a pivotal role in steering the company’s strategic leadership and driving substantial organisational growth. Consulting with some of the largest organisations in the world, she thrives in synthesising business ‘problems’ and identifying best-in-class emerging technologies and services to solve critical business problems.
Adie Holt
Director of Ventures
Adie has enjoyed a 28-year career at the forefront of technology, beginning as a Royal Air Force. Engineer. He later helped establish the UK Strategic Command jHub, a radical innovation unit delivering innovative capabilities to the hands of users, faster than ever. Adie left the military in 2020 to carve a niche at the intersection of public sector, industry, and the start-up/scale-up ecosystems, first establishing a Defence practice for Capita’s tech and digital-focused consultancy and later working with their corporate venturing arm Scaling Partner.
Ellie Dury
Director of Corporate Relationships
Ellie joins Form1 from Capita where she began as a transformational change consultant, leading complex, digitally enabled services for major government transformation programs across Defence, Justice, and Local Government sectors. She later became Chief of Staff to the CEO of Capita Public and most recently served as COO for Capita’s Transport for London networks managed-service account. Ellie is passionate about problem-solving, working closely with teams to develop innovative, technology-driven solutions that drive better outcomes, always with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience.
